Jurisprudence is the study of the nature and form of law. In this quest one is faced with the task of exploring its connection to politics, economics and society. The author has adopted a novel approach in this search by examining the main theories of law, especially Professor H.L.A. Hart's Concept of law, in the light of contemporary social and legal issues, showing their relevance, in simple and lucid language. This is the work of an experienced academic whose work will undoubtedly assist students of jurisprudence, to comprehend the complex theories of law and the purpose in studying them. Thus, it is not a book to be discarded after examinations, but to be preserved for later guidance in their professional lives. This book is a sine qua non in any law library.
