About the Author

Eva Golinger is a Venezuelan-American lawyer specializing in international human rights and immigration law. In 2004, she obtained top secret documents from the Central Intelligence Agency and Department of State, along with other US entities, declassifed under the Freedom of Information Act, that demonstrate the complicity and participation of the Bush Administration in the coup d'etat against Venezuelan President Chávez in April 2002. The author has also uncovered more the $20 million in financing from the US Government to anti-Chávez groups in Venezuela, determined to remove the Venezuelan leader from power.
