About the Author:
May Holdsworth has written several guide books to the cities and provinces of China. She also co-authored a companion book to a documentary film about the Forbidden City in 1995, and The Hong Kong Story in 1997. Her other publications include Women of the Tang Dynasty and The Forbidden City in the Oxford Images of Asia series. She lives in Hong Kong.
