About the Author

David Morrison was a practicing psychiatrist in the United States for over 20 years with a B.A. in history from Duke University and an M.D. from the University of Tennessee Medical School.

Morrison moved to Israel in 1992 with his wife Jo where he now devotes his time to research into contemporary Jewish history and is the founding director of Milah - The Jerusalem Institute of Haskala, a non-profit organization dedicated to Hebrew language enrichment, Jewish culture & tradition, and religious-secular dialogue.

David Morrison's first book, Heroes, Antiheroes and the Holocaust: American Jewry and Historical Choice, Milah Press & Gefen Publishing House (1995 / 1999), raises poignant questions about the role of the American Jewish establishment and its action (or rather inaction) throughout the dark period of the thirties and forties.

Morrison has four children and two grandchildren. He and his wife live in Jerusalem.
