Koren Publishers Jerusalem was established in 1962 with the aim of publishing the first fully Jewish Bible in nearly 500 years. With its textual accuracy and innovative graphic design, The Koren Bible quickly became the international standard. In 1981, Koren Publishers introduced The Koren Siddur (Prayerbook), which can be found in nearly every synagogue in Israel. Since then, it has published various editions of the Bible, siddur and other Jewish texts in Hebrew, English and other languages.
The Koren Humash is a marked contribution towards retaining the specifically Jewish tone of the literary bedrock of Judaism. --Rabbi Immanuel Jakobovits, Former Chief Rabbi of the British Commonwealth
