Eva Wasserman-Margolis' book Time for Tone - Exercises for Developing the Perfect Clarinet Tone is a simple, concise guide intended for progressing and advanced clarinet players. Based on long tones, this book may be used by beginning as well as more experienced players.
The exercises in the book develop the student's breath control, dynamics, intonation, finger movement, and listening skills. With daily practice, the development of the perfect tone will become apparent in as little as two months.

Eva Wasserman-Margolis was born on the island of Key West in the United States. In 1980, she received her M.M. in Music Performance at the University of Illinois and in the same year secured the position of principal clarinetist with the Haifa Symphony in Israel. Her studies in musicology at Bar Ilan University introduced her to the world of music research and to the music of lesser known composers, and eventually to perform and record many of these composers works. Ms. Wasserman-Margolis has served as the main instructor of clarinet at the Music Conservatories in Givatayim and Petah Tikva, and at Tel Aviv Music Center. Many of her students have studied abroad, and continue to perform in Israel and overseas.
Eva Wasserman-Margolis organized the first Israeli Clarinet Festival in 1998, and has since brought clarinetists of international renown to teach and perform in Israel. As a performer and clinician, she has been invited to the USA, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ukraine, Slovenia, China and Japan. In 2004, her performance in China at the International Clarinet Festival was praised by the Jilin College of the Arts. She was one of five international performers, and the only woman, to receive an honorary professorship for her performance. Since 2005 Wasserman-Margolis has served as a faculty member of Giora Feidman's Clarinet and Klezmer in the Galilee festival, and in 2006 she honored the New York clarinetist David Weber by organizing a competition in his name in Israel. In 2009, her compositions The Generation of Hope for clarinet and strings and Ode to Odessa for clarinet solo were performed at the Eastman School of Music's Women in Music Festival . Lomax Classic Mouthpieces (US) created the EWM series mouthpiece in her honor in 2010.
Or-Tav Music Publications publishes her music and books: Learning Clarinet the Artistic Way, the first clarinet method published in Hebrew, and Time for Tone. These books are based on the premise that young students must develop a fine tone technique from the very beginning of their studies. Her compositions include two works for solo clarinet, The Generation of Hope and Ode to Odessa.
Eva Wasserman-Margolis two CDs are collaborations with the Italian clarinetist Luigi Magistrelli. Two Clarinets and Piano: Original Music from Finland, Malta, Israel and Points In-between, with pianist Claudia Bracco (Leonarda) and Unforgettable Hues, with guitarist Massimo Laura, includes music for two clarinets and guitar. It is a first time recording for this combination of instruments.
