Synopsis
El objetivo de este trabajo es dar a conocer las expresiones musicales tradicionales y características del Estado de Quintana Roo en relación con los grupos étnicos locales, basándose en sus áreas geográficas, continuando el diagnóstico etnomusicológico que iniciara Max Jardow Pedersen, quien dividió el estado en cuatro grandes áreas. Se registran en esta obra a las personas más representativas dentro del contexto de la música tradicional de la entidad y las que, de alguna manera, han propiciado su preservación y difusión.
