Synopsis
Ruy Sánchez returns to Mogador in this story about the anti-love affair, and the ludicrous search for the erotic. Despite the multiple faces of desire, eroticism is only an illusion. It exists like a second skin that burns and comes alive like a sleepwalker. It lives for the adventure of playing with fire. A frustrated editor of an erotic magazine is hell bent on writing about the Arab Kama Sutras; but it appears that life is also hell bent on showing him how wrong he is.

About the Author
Alberto Ruy Sánchez nació en México en 1951. Vivió en París, donde realizó estudios de Literatura y de Filosofía Política. Allí se volvió editor y escritor. Ha publicado veintiocho libros, entre los que destacan los ensayos Elogio del insomnio, Con la literatura en el cuerpo y Una introducción a Octavio Paz; los poemas de Decir es desear, El bosque erotizado, Escrito con agua, Luz del colibrí; el relato Los demonios de la lengua y especialmente el ciclo de obras experimentales sobre el deseo, Quinteto de Mogador, donde confluyen poesía y ensayo en narraciones novelescas y documentales: Los nombres del aire, En los labios del agua, Los jardines secretos de Mogador, La mano del fuego y Nueve veces el asombro. Los cinco se han vuelto libros de culto en varios países. Su obra ha sido traducida a una docena de lenguas y ha recibido más de veinte premios: en San Petersburgo, Lugano, Montauban, Chicago, Louisville, Zaragoza y México, entre otros. Codirige la revista Artes de México.
