About the Author:

Henning Mankell nacio en Estocolmo, Suecia, en 1948, y en la actualidad divide su tiempo entre Suecia y Mozambique, donde dirige el teatro nacional Avenida de Maputo. Es autor de numerosas obras de ficcion y uno de los dramaturgos mas populares de su pais. No obstante, lo que lo ha convertido en un escritor de fama mundial es la serie de novelas policiacas protagonizadas por el inspector Kurt Wallander, traducidas a treinta y siete idiomas, aclamadas por el publico, merecedoras de numerosos premios y adaptadas al cine y la television.
