Although some basic knowledge of matrix algebra and elementary statistical theory will be assumed, much of it is covered in the body of the text. All the main theoretical concepts are illustrated with the use of econometric software, mainly EViews.

About the Authors

Patrick K. Watson is Director of Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies and former Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. He is also the former Director of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

Sonja S. Teelucksingh is Marie Curie Research Fellow, Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, Italy. She was previously Lecturer, Department of Economics, University of the West Indies, Economics Trinidad and Tobago.
