DR. SUE HAMILTON is an associate professor in the Plant Sciences Department at the University of Tennessee. She is the director of the University of Tennessee Gardens, where over 2000 different cultivars of trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials and herbs are evaluated each year for landscape performance in the southeastern region of the United States. ëDr. Sueí has also written numerous gardening articles for various magazines and is a cohost of the weekly gardening talk-radio show The Garden Girls. She is an avid gardener and enjoys practicing what she teaches. LAURA PETERS is a certified master gardener with more than 16 years of experience as a retail gardening consultant. She has researched and written 19 gardening books to date. Her practical knowledge of contemporary plant varieties and gardening products covers almost every aspect of the horticulture industry. Her areas of interest include roses, alpines and exotic perennials, as well as Japanese and indoor gardening.
