Synopsis
القلوب ببصيرة ماء الشعر، فجعل من يقرأ شعره يطيل النظر لأن في أبيات شعره آيات يعجز عن وصفها البصر، وقد أجلى الكاتب تلك الآيات من خلال تناوله للعلامات الفارقة في حياته الشعرية، ومنها إصابته بالعمى، ويُظهر الكاتب المنطقية الشعرية لأبي العلاء في التعامل مع ذلك المصاب الذي فجر ينبوع الشعر في نفسه، كما يتناول الكاتب أسماء من تتلمذوا على يديه، والمبلغ الذي وصل له في العلم والذكاء، والرأي المنصف للمتنبي في أبي العلاء، فقد وصفه بأنه أشعر الشعراء المحدثين، كما تحدث الكاتب عن زهده وثروته، ومآخذ الشعراء على شعره، كما قارن معانيه بمعاني غيره من الشعراء، واختتم مؤلفه بوصفه للجانب العقائدي عند أبى العلاء مؤكدًا أن مؤلفاته الشعرية أفصح برهان على تبرئته من صفة الكفر التي وُصِمَ بها
