Learn to appreciate these wines with food, given the 80 recipes created by Chef Emmanuel Stroobant, to tease your palate and bring out the best from both the wine and food.

Vine Dining: White is fully illustrated with colour photographs, playfully styled to provide a visual feast and help your imagination flow. It will appeal to all who enjoy entertaining with a good glass of wine. The forthcoming partner title is Vine Dining: Red.

About the Author:
Chef Emmanuel Stroobant started his apprenticeship in Belgium. He spent his formative years at various Michelin star establishments within the country. It was during these years that he built a solid foundation in understanding classical French cuisine. This inevitably steered him to being named "Best Apprentice Chef" in 1987 and 1988 in Belgium.

Upon the completion of his apprenticeship, Chef Stroobant worked at various restaurants in his hometown, Liege. The highlight in this period of his culinary career was the birth of his first restaurant, Le Bal, which he opened at the tender age of 23.

Refusing to succumb to the complacency of a comfortably successful reputation in Liege and truly believing that the world was his oyster, Chef Stroobant relocated to Australia. It was there that he first experienced the merging of the cuisines of East and West. His quest for further exploration of these cuisines then led him to Malaysia and later to Singapore.

Chef Stroobant's passion and commitment towards culinary excellence continues to be recognised. He was awarded 'Best Expatriate Executive Chef' by World Asia Media, Malaysia in 1999 and 'Chef of the Year 2002', at the World Gourmet Summit, Awards of Excellence 2002.

His five-year-old restaurant, Saint Pierre, in Singapore, was also awarded 'Best New Restaurant' in 2002 and 'Most Innovative Menu' in 2002 and 2004 by Wine & Dine magazine, Singapore, and 'Best New Restaurant' at the World Gourmet Summit, Awards of Excellence for two consecutive years (2002 and 2003).

Inspired by the success of Saint Pierre, Chef Stroobant launched a new restaurant, San Marco, early in 2005, to rave reviews from both diners and the media. He is also joint owner of Townhouse, a modern wine bar which opened in the first quarter of 2005.
