Abdul Rashid Moten is Professor of Political Science at the International Islamic University Malaysia. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada and has been teaching at the university level for about 35 years in various countries. He has authored and edited 16 books, three monographs and contributed over 90 articles in internationally refereed journals. He is the editor of Intellectual Discourse, a journal published by the International Islamic University Malaysia.
