The Yogi’s Guide to Health and Fitness is a scientifically researched and tested approach to exercise and diet that helps you to achieve not only physical fitness but also mental focus. Alan Black advocates and details a three prong attack on health and fitness: yoga, plyometrics (Track and Field based boot camp styled exercises) and a diet that focuses on un-processed foods. He gives you tips and suggestions on how to incorporate these three tenets into your busy life. Alan believes that ownership of your health, which must be rooted in positive choices, is the only path to a long, productive, filling and healthy life. He supplies the reader with guidelines and instructions on how to lose weight, sustain motivation through difficult times and reach the potential that is within all of us. The Yogi’s Guide to Health and Fitness includes yoga and plyometric routines that can be done easily at home.

Alan Black is a licensed yoga instructor, fitness expert, motivator and public speaker. Throughout his early years- health and fitness didn’t cross his radar once. He was more interested in his mom’s home style cooking. This all changed when he took his first hot Bikram style yoga class in Boulder, Colorado. This lead to a fascination with how the human body responds to diverse types of physical movement. This created a passion for running, biking and swimming-all with a daily yoga practice serving as the foundation that creates balance and stability. In his free time he enjoys snowboarding, surfing and experiencing new cultures.
