En ésta, su segunda obra, Rosario Aguilera Mendoza cuenta la historia de Saúl, un joven no querido por su madre, por ser el fruto de una violación, y de su medio-hermana Chayito, quien también tiene que padecer el maltrato físico y psíquico de una madre infeliz, resentida e ignorante.
"Sabemos que hay un Dios que nos da la vida y que sólo él nos la quita. Por eso, como padres, debemos vivir una vida feliz al lado de nuestros hijos, no dejarlos jamás en la calle, sino darles una buena educación. No debemos gritarles, sino hablarles con respeto y cariño porque cuando se les habla, ellos escuchan y absorben todo aquello que nosotros le decimos. Enseñémosles a amar, a querer, a estar bien y sobrevivir a los tormentos y las oscuridades que nos toca vivir. Al final del camino tendremos la recompensa de Dios y de la vida por todo lo que dimos e hicimos por nuestros hijos y por nosotros mismos. Rosario Aguilera Mendoza -autora de "Rosario, La Mexicana", de este mismo sello editorial-, nació en Michoacán, México, en 1973.
Después de más de diez años de trabajo duro, dejando de lado el rencor y el egoísmo, sobreponiéndose al dolor del desarraigo y movida por su tenacidad y la fuerza de sus ilusiones, consiguió hacer su sueño realidad: formar una familia, establecer su propio negocio y dedicarse a escribir, su real vocación desde que era niña.
En la actualidad vive en California, está casada y es madre de un hijo.
