Explore the lyrical beauty and expressive brilliance of Frédéric Chopin with this Henle Urtext edition of his complete Impromptus for solo piano. Carefully edited from original manuscripts and first editions, this collection provides a faithful representation of Chopin’s intentions, making it an essential volume for pianists seeking artistic authenticity and technical refinement. * * This multilingual edition includes all four of Chopin’s beloved impromptus, each reflecting the composer’s signature blend of poetry and virtuosity. From the sparkling elegance of Impromptu No. 1 in A-flat major to the deeply moving, posthumously published Fantaisie-Impromptu in C-sharp minor, these works capture the emotional depth and pianistic brilliance that define Chopin’s style. * * Henle’s Urtext format ensures that performers have access to clean, authoritative notation, complete with editorial commentary and carefully considered fingerings. The included introduction offers valuable insights into the historical and musical context of the works, making it a useful resource for both performance and study. * * Ideal for advanced pianists, conservatory students, and professional musicians, this edition is also a reliable music teacher resource and a thoughtful gift for pianists who value classic repertoire. Whether preparing for recital, competition, or personal enrichment, Chopin’s Impromptus will challenge and inspire pianists with their timeless beauty and interpretive depth.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware -Hardly unexpectedly for a genre created by Franz Schubert, Chopin's four Impromptus have a strongly improvisatory character, while still overflowing with fleet-footed lightness, as well as with dignity and tastefulness. This applies above all to the first three pieces of this volume, opp. 29, 36 and 51. Whereas the first was written in 1837, the other two were composed during Chopin's relationship with the authoress George Sand, at her country seat of Nohant: op. 36 in 1839, op. 51 three years later. The opus number of the Fantaisie Impromptu, op. 66, is misleading, since the piece had already been written in 1834 as the first of the four works. Chopin had apparently not envisioned its printing, and it was issued only after his death, thanks to the efforts of his friend Julian Fontana. The print diverges so strongly from the - fortunately - extant autograph, however, that both versions are reproduced in the Henle Urtext edition.; Conformément à ce genre créé par Franz Schubert, les quatre impromptus de Chopin présentent un fort caractère d'improvisation tout en restant toujours parfaitement légers et élégants. 51 pp. Deutsch.
