These chamber music gems, which do not turn up very often on concert programs, are full of surprises and provide much playing enjoyment. Based on the Haydn Complete Edition, also published by G. Henle, Haydn's eighteen surviving string trios are presented in two practical volumes. The second contains Trios Hob. V:15-21. The Critical Report provides valuable information about the trios' genesis and sources.; Joseph Haydn composa 21 trios à cordes pour deux violons et un violoncelle, dont trois ont disparu. Rarement donnés en concert, ces petits bijoux de la musique de chambre sont pleins de surprises et très plaisants à jouer. Les 18 trios conservés font l'objet de deux recueils élaborés sur la base de l'édition complète des oeuvres de Haydn également parue aux éditions Henle. Le second volume contient les trios Hob. V:15-21.
