Synopsis
In a mortuary chamber, two women reunite beside a man's body. With differing reasons and contrasting experiences, they both loved this older businessman. Why are they at odds? Out of jealousy? For a comfortable inheritance? Or to finally settle scores with Georges? As we know, the dead may not respond, but we're free to express our feelings. 'Les Pleureuses' offers bittersweet portraits of two long-submissive women and, implicitly, a businessman lacking morals or virtue. It explores death and mourning to tell the stories of the living.
