Synopsis

In just ten years, the revolution of bitcoin and blockchain technology has brought about a hundred central banks on every continent to study their applications and consequences. Several countries are already in the process of launching their own sovereign cryptocurrency, which will have profound implications for the world and will change it forever.

Geopolitics of Cryptocurrencies analyzes the various strategies in progress and reveals the stakes. One of them is to decide whether commercial banks are still necessary. To go without seems impossible, yet this is what is currently played at the level of financial institutions.

This book also proposes fifteen scenarios for the creation of cryptocurrencies involving some forty states, many of which would prevent or put an end to ongoing or latent conflicts. After such a reading, there is no doubt that a (crypto)currency can bring peace and prosperity.
