Synopsis
It is a fast moving historical murder mystery :it starts in 1955 when Sir Simeon Hollander is summoned to the Parisian home of The Duke and Duchess of Windsor. .The Duke( who was the King of England until he abdicated in 1936) wants the 1930 cold case murder of his Royal Equerry in Durham City on a Royal Tour reopened .At the same time and nearby a Scottish clergyman, also on the Tour, was savagely disfigured- were the two events connected?....and why?
Sir Simeon, helped by Jack Brabham and his French lover, Yvonne de Rashal go on their travels to solve the murder and assault- Paris,London, Edinburgh, Durham City and even visiting the Isle of Iona..
There are cameo appearances by the Queen Mother and the Dean of Durham Cathedral .We're inrtroduced to the High Fashion of the Duchess of Windsor..
