Some things can't be chased. They can only be waited for.

Three days after their last adventure, Tim—a bold cat who rushes toward danger—finds something impossible half-buried at the edge of the jungle: a pale, carved fragment that hums like it's been waiting for someone to notice.

Together with Jay, a careful mouse who trusts maps and plans, and Wick, a quiet bat who hears things others can't, the trio follows an ancient legend up a dangerous mountain to the ruins of a forgotten sky-shrine. There, they learn the hardest lesson yet: this mystery isn't something you can search for. It's something you must wait for.

But as the mountain begins to crumble around them, Wick makes a choice that could cost him everything—because part of him still believes he's the one nobody would miss. Tim and Jay are about to prove him wrong.

Book Three in the beloved series that began with The Jungle Journey and The Whispering Cave, TIM AND JAY: THE WAITING STAR is a warm, funny, wonder-filled adventure about patience, found family, and the friends who stay—even when the sky itself is falling.

Perfect for young readers who love animal adventures, friendship stories, gentle mystery, exploration, and magical discoveries — this is a story about learning that some things you find, and some things simply find you when you're ready.
