Synopsis
I came to Blackspire to write the Ashen King's ending.
He decided to make me his queen instead.
Isolde is a scribe, not a sacrifice. Sent to the obsidian mountain to chronicle the monster king who burned the last dragonlords, she expects a quick death. What she finds is worse: Rook of Blackspire — the Ashen King — with storm-gray eyes, a throne of ash, and two ancient dragons who haven't chosen a rider in a century.
He should kill her. Instead, he keeps her.
