About the Author

RW Hunker Jr brings a unique blend of spiritual wisdom and adventurous spirit to his writing, shaped by decades of profound exploration in both the natural world and inner landscapes of consciousness.

His journey began with Buddhist studies in 1969, followed by a deep engagement with Transcendental Meditation in 1974 that continues to inform his perspective today. After earning his BA in Psychology from Western State College of Colorado in 1992, Hunker discovered the transformative power of the Tao Te Ching in 2010, which sparked a passionate connection to Taoist philosophy. This spiritual foundation expanded further when he embraced Qigong practice in 2015, integrating ancient movement wisdom into his daily life.

A lifetime spent immersed in Colorado's wilderness—from snow-covered peaks to rushing waters and open skies—has given Hunker an intimate understanding of nature's rhythms and lessons. This deep connection to the natural world permeates all his work, whether he's writing about spiritual practice, wellness, or aviation.

Hunker's diverse literary portfolio reflects his multifaceted expertise. He authored Tao Te Ching Card Readings (2016) and Wellness Living Card Readings (2021), offering practical guidance for spiritual seekers. His passion for flight inspired  Living Under the Wing, capturing the wonder and technical mastery of aviation. Experiences of Tao Te Ching marks his debut in poetry, where ancient wisdom meets contemporary insight through verse.

From his home, Hunker continues to write, practice, and explore the intersection of Eastern philosophy, natural beauty, and mindful living.
