Synopsis
An O'Neill Cylinder jury-rigged into a generation ship creaks, groans, and stutters through deep space searching for some haven it can't possibly reach.
For the scientifically oriented Riggers, the habitat's only hope lies in discovering some technological miracle. Accordingly they push their programs of brain enhancement toward ever more speculative - and dangerous - frontiers.
For the colony of evangelical Christians trapped here by circumstance, the ship approaches a "point of no return" beyond which their souls will pass beyond God's reach. They demand the ship turn around - or they will destroy the habitat before their souls face damnation.
