Most of the people in the houses ignored the tree. Except the people in the house next to her. They admired her with every changing season.
A family waits and watches with worry when a turbulent summer storm threatens their beloved catalpa tree and all the animals who've made their home in her branches. Eventually the wind and rain subside and the animals peek out of their hiding places, When the grateful family goes outside to celebrate, they are joined by their curious neighbors.

About the Author
Lynne Williams Reckman is an author and former child therapist. Lynne has always been drawn to trees, As a child she explored the woods, where trees held a quiet space for her imagination. As an adult, she feels a deep connection to the trees around her, particularly the special catalpa tree in her front yard that inspired this story.
Lynne's first book, Croaky and the Green Boots, also honors the importance of the natural world for kids of all ages.
