Synopsis
The galaxy is vast. The problems are ridiculous. And Admiral Bob Barker has been given the unenviable job of dealing with both.
Aboard the DSS Pongo, Bob and his crew patrol the stars under the Helping Paw Decree, an ambitious attempt to bring aid, order, and a little common sense to a galaxy populated by dogs, cats, mice, and civilizations that rarely agree on what any of those things should look like.
Their latest mission carries them beyond the familiar reaches of Canis Majoris, from the strange forests of the Ghost Orchard to the divided world of Felinia Prime and the sprawling cities of Rodentia Prime. Along the way, Bob finds unlikely allies in the rebellious feline Whiskerfang and the resourceful mouse captain Squeebles, while rumors of a mysterious artifact known as the OmegaBone begin attracting some very dangerous attention.
Meanwhile, behind the polished doors of the Dairy Dominion Corporation, something much larger is taking shape.
Old rivalries are sharpening. Powerful interests are making their moves. And what begins as another mission for the Pongo soon becomes a struggle that will test friendships, divide families, and force Bob to decide just how far he is willing to go to do the right thing.
