Synopsis

Cosmo Rabbit has always been the one everyone wants to hear about.

At the family reunion, relatives gather from burrows, planets, and far-off branches of the family tree, all eager to hear Cosmo retell his famous adventures. But when Cosmo meets his cousin Clive, he discovers something surprising: Clive looks almost exactly like him.

At first, the resemblance seems harmless. But while Cosmo is surrounded by attention, Clive quietly slips into the background with his sketchbook full of astonishing worlds no one has taken time to notice. Feeling invisible beside his celebrated cousin, Clive makes a choice that begins as pretend - and quickly becomes something much more serious.

Wearing Cosmo's jacket and borrowing Cosmo's identity, Clive says and does things that leave the whole warren confused and hurt. When one reckless decision sends Clive and Hutch adrift in space, the truth can no longer stay hidden.

Now Cosmo, Moxie, Hutch, and Clive must face questions bigger than mistaken identity: What does it mean to be truly seen? How do you make things right after hurting others? And can a young rabbit learn that being himself was enough all along?

Cosmo Rabbit and the Copycat Cousin is a warm, thoughtful middle-grade chapter book about jealousy, honesty, forgiveness, friendship, and the courage it takes to stop living in someone else's shadow.

Perfect for readers who enjoy gentle space adventures, animal characters, emotional growth, and bedtime stories with heart.
