Arin, a Spanish sailor on a transatlantic voyage, disappears at sea and survives what should have been impossible.
When he wakes, he finds himself in Thalasene, a hidden civilisation beneath the ocean that has survived for centuries by remaining unseen.
Thalasene does not conquer or expand. It survives through restraint. Its people live by strict rules, carefully guarded boundaries, and controlled memory. Nothing that threatens the balance of their world is allowed to leave a trace.
But Arin creates a problem the system was never designed to handle.
He remembers.
As Arin tries to understand this strange new world, he also begins to form a bond with Lira, the woman who rescued him. What begins as compassion slowly becomes something deeper—and far more dangerous.
Arin is caught between two worlds.
Above the ocean are his family, his past, and the life he left behind.
Below it are Lira, a world unlike anything he has known, and the possibility of a new life.
But he cannot have both.
As the people of Thalasene struggle to protect their civilisation, Arin must face a question with no easy answer: How much can one life matter when an entire civilisation is at stake?
