Synopsis
Sixteen-year-old Maya Torres should be worrying about grades and her crush on Eli. Instead, she’s attending her own funeral.
After a tragic car accident, Maya is caught in the in-between, a ghost invisible to the world she once knew. She watches her parents shatter with a grief she can't soothe and sees her friends move on in a life she can no longer touch. That is, until she meets Eli. Charismatic, kind, and very much dead, he becomes her guide through the mysteries of the afterlife. But as a fragile, hopeful connection blossoms with Eli into something more, Maya is faced with an impossible choice. To move on toward the unknown light, she must first learn the hardest lesson of all: how to let go of the living, heal the wounds of the past, and embrace the purpose she can only find in death.
