Story Summary
When the music of Houston mysteriously fades—no songs in the streets, no laughter in the parks, no rhythm in the bayou—two brave mermaids named Taylor and Rilee dive into action. The city's melodies have been stolen by Nate, a dramatic (and very squeaky) rat who dreams of hogging the spotlight.
From deep in the desert, Queen Amalthea and the Soleya Mermaids hear the shimmer call and rush to help. Together, the mermaids uncover Nate’s underground lair filled with bottled songs and silenced beats.
But music can’t be caged forever.
With courage, friendship, and a magical song sung in harmony, the mermaids unleash the power of rhythm and restore joy to the city.
