About the Author

A Wisconsin native, born into the Ho-Chunk tribe, Carly grew up in Baraboo Wisconsin, between the International Crane Foundation and the rare hills and valleys of Devil's Lake State Park. As a child she spent long weekends with grandparents, near the Necedah wildlife refuge, walking the marshy and heavily wooded terrain looking for wildlife, unicorns, and Bigfoot. A citizen of the world, Carly enjoys the magic of nature, rugged adventures, and people-watching for absolutely no reason.
