Synopsis
When the law fails to give justice, where does one turn? Tonio Martini, living in Cortale, a village in southern Italy during 1900, is confronted by just such a quandary. When his well-loved cousin, Bettina, is violently raped, the biased Judge releases the three perpetrators. Tonio and the family can either do nothing, or resort to the honor code of the vendetta.
