Escape from Bakwas begins with a simple yet profound belief: true education must illuminate both the mind and the moral imagination. Drawing on the deep well of the Humanities, it invites Indian readers to confront the pressing questions of our age-moral agency, democracy, free will, and the fragile architecture of moral choice.
In a world where misinformation clouds judgment and public discourse grows increasingly shallow, this book offers clarity without dogma and depth without pretension. It encourages readers to examine the beliefs they hold and the societal currents that shape them, guiding them toward intellectual honesty and ethical steadiness.
Written for those who navigate life with grit and discernment-whether or not they have formally studied the Humanities-it speaks equally to hardworking individuals and to students in technical fields encountering new ways of thinking. It offers a bridge between the practical and the philosophical, between lived experience and reflective understanding.
Through lucid prose and incisive analysis, Escape from Bakwas calls forth a generation of thoughtful citizens equipped to meet the complexities of modern life with coherence, courage, and clarity.

Professor DeenDayal Reddy's life story begins in a small village in Telangana, India-an environment of few comforts but abundant, cherished memories. From these beginnings, he journeyed across continents to pursue advanced studies at renowned American universities, ultimately shaping a remarkable forty year career within biopharma and bioethics. His passion for teaching led him to spend more than a decade offering courses in both Bioethics and Research Ethics in India and the United States. Alongside his book Escape from Bakwas, he has contributed widely to peer reviewed scholarship on the importance of holistic education. Dr. Reddy holds a PhD in bioethics, two master's degrees, a Baccalaureate with a double major, and a Bachelor of Science from Nizam's College, Hyderabad. He now makes his home in Washington State.
