Synopsis
Halloween at the hotel turns into a hostage situation.
Eve Cordova thinks she has nothing to worry about when she finds herself manning her rural hotel alone on Halloween evening. She expects nothing more exciting than the clearing of spiderwebs that have collected on the porch. She is sure that the story of a train robbing ring being in the area has nothing to do with her or her guests.
She soon realizes she is wrong on all fronts when she finds that one of her guests has been murdered, the discovery of which results in the taking of hostages. She is fortified by the fact that she has one familiar face to rely on during the impromptu imprisonment in the hotel basement, but she can’t let anyone know who he is. She needs to help her criminal captors unmask the murderer before her companion is unmasked as the sheriff.
