Flowers look back in the mirror
The flowers look back in the mirror,
in the hallway, in a vase to please
Open minded, but they don’t hear her
her cries, her pleas and her injuries
The flowers have their part to play,
to say sorry, it won’t happen again
It’s her black and white decision,
confused by floral colours, suspicion
Look again in the great hall mirror,
what do you recognise, a young girl
an idealistic, distraught, beginner,
the world at her feet, if she learns
