Luisa dall'Acqua is a senior cognitive systems scientist for High-Tech in the Safety/Security sector. Her research interests are cognitive processes and technologies, human and artificial intelligence, and cognitive ergonomics in safety/security and biomedicine. In particular: an engineering approach to intelligence and problem-solving, decision-making in case of risk, stress, conflict, and unpredictability; a study of human-machine interfaces, the interaction between people and other complex systems, and the development of intelligent machines. Furthermore, she is an expert Instructional Technologist and Designer. She received a Ph.D. in Sociology of Legal Institutions and Policy, a Ph.D. in Psychological and Social Sciences, a Specialized Master in Risk and Disaster Management, and another one in Instructional Technology. Luisa is an author, reviewer, and editor for several international scientific journals and book editions, and a committee member for international conferences. She is a member of the Register of Expert Peer Reviewers (Cineca), the Intl. Association of Engineering (IAENG), and the Italian Society of Intelligence. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Bologna, is a regional coordinator of a team for digital transition and innovation at MIM, and holds a permanent position as a professor at an Italian Scientific Lyceum.
