The emergence of connected, autonomous, shared, and electric (CASE) vehicles transforms the transportation landscape and ushers in a new age of mobility. These technologies redefine mobility by integrating digital connectivity, automation, sustainability, and shared-use models into everyday travel. Together, they enhance safety, reduce environmental impact, and increase accessibility while reshaping urban planning and global economies. As innovation accelerates, the convergence of CASE vehicles marks a pivotal shift toward a smarter, cleaner, and more interconnected mobility ecosystem. Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric Vehicles in the New Age of Mobility explores the transformations, strategies, policies, and business models that are reshaping the automotive and mobility sectors. It examines the main research topics, emerging trends, and future challenges for both companies and countries engaged in mobility transitions, identifying key challenges, gaps, and emerging opportunities in the field. This book covers topics such as automotive industry, electrical engineering, and smart mobility, and is a useful resource for engineers, transportation professionals, policymakers, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
