About the Authors

Professor Dr. Yuanyuan Li is a Professor at the Music College of Capital Normal University in Beijing, China, specializing in vocal education and advancing music pedagogy for global citizenship education. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she co-founded the hybrid LivePBL (Linking Vocal Education through Project-Based Learning) project, collaborating with international teams to promote cultural and sustainable social development through music. LivePBL has been featured at major conferences, including the London International Conference on Education and QS Reimaging Education. Professor Li is a member of prestigious music associations and a judge for vocal competitions. Her students have won numerous awards, showcasing her effective teaching. She has led significant educational projects recognized by the Ministry of Education, including student-centred vocal teaching and nationwide cross-school online open courses on classical Chinese music.

Ying Liu is a lecturer at the London School of Science and Technology based in London, UK and an experienced leader in transnational education. He has spearheaded initiatives to localise internationalisation in collaboration with government and local communities. He is the founder of LivePBL, and many other notable projects include the CPD-certified LivePBL initiative, Cloud Family Visit Reality Show, NCFE Digital Literacy courses, and Virtual Inclusive Music Festivals. He has led LivePBL team of teachers and students having published more than 10 academic papers, co-organised several international conference workshops, and four book chapters.
