About the Author
Shane Gerry is a writer who understands what it means to be unheard. His work has lived in the margins—passed over by the literary world—but never abandoned. Through rejection and long nights, he kept writing. Not for fame. Not for praise. But because the stories refused to stay silent.
Now living in Vermont, Shane works as a pest control technician and is the proud father of a one-year-old daughter, Willow. Much of this book was written in the stolen hours between work and parenting, with her laughter in the background and her future in his thoughts.
The Fall of Krotharion: The Embers of Knowledge is his second novel—but in many ways, it's his most personal. It was written with Willow in mind, so that one day, long after he's gone, she can still hear his voice in the words, still walk through the worlds he built, and know that her father never gave up on his dreams. And neither should she.
Because stories are more than words on a page—they're the pieces of us we leave behind.
