A new book by Alexander Fayn “Forward over the graves!" (Goebbels’ secret weapon) analyses some little-known propaganda mechanisms of the Third Reich. The main part of the book is devoted to the so-called "mini poster of the party" - the leaflet "Wochenspruch der NSDAP", an extremely effective propaganda mechanism of the Nazis, generally underrepresented in European specialised literature and completely unknown in Russian. The author introduces and carefully justifies a new concept - targeted propaganda. This targeted propaganda is aimed at ordinary citizens. Alexander Fayn reveals the psychological mechanisms of the propagandistic indoctrination of a citizen, and it becomes clear how the misanthropic ideas of Nazism managed to take over the minds of the vast majority of German citizens, turning them into anti-Semites and committed murderers. After reading this book, one begins to re-evaluate modern propaganda methods and see their effectiveness and potential differently. The book contains a large number of previously unknown propaganda documents from the time of the Third Reich.
