Synopsis

This story relates how a young man's life evolves from the time when his parents are tragically killed in a car crash when he is 15 until the time he settles down with the love of his life in a very remote spot in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. At 19, he sets off to backpack around the entire North American Continent. His starting point is Canada, he is going to go from Halifax, Nova Scotia right across the country to Vancouver, British Columbia and then down into the US to zig-zag around there before making his way home. In the event, his well made plans go awry. A fateful meeting with an old First Nations man changes his life forever and he becomes a modern day mountain man, living alone in the Canadian hinterland until the day that is, the woman who becomes the love of his life comes down to him from above.
