Synopsis

“No Better Time to Die”, a collection of biographies of thirty veteran ancestors of the author, presented herein in random order, summarizes the events of the lives of these veteran ancestors.

Each chapter follows a general pattern and includes the birth, marriage, and death dates and cemetery of burial of the veteran. The names of his parents, siblings, wife, and children are included. The relationship to the author and the names of the descendants of the veteran to the author are included.

The author included the names of the wars or conflicts and the name of the units in which each veteran served. Lastly, the author composed a short biography of the veteran’s life developed from the facts that were uncovered during the years of research that the author conducted. At the end of each chapter is an area for endnotes, where the author documented the information source for each of the referenced information.
