Synopsis
This is a book of beginnings. The beginning of a revolution blended with the beginnings of a love story.
The story opens onto a world powered by steampunk technology and arcane philosophies. Technology that should not exist but does in this post fallen world is used throughout this story. Newly discovered alien weaponry on Mars is added to a swirling series of events.
This event is chronicled in the first book of the Splendor Series titled Humanity’s Fight for Splendor.
Two individuals are tied to the success or failure of the First Flight of the Nemesis, the experimental bomber aircraft made for the Queen’s Military Directorate. Days of risk and loss with no foreseeable good ending lay ahead for Jenny and Jacob caught up in this rapid flow of change.
Unplanned, a mother and pilot become the first leaders of a revolution set against the mad Queen. Their meeting and bonding are told against this backdrop of a Kingdom whose foundation is made up of fear, greed, and control.
Throughout the book, you will find bravery, romance, and warfare between the good and the wicked. Be prepared to be taken to an Earth that is no longer recognizable to your eyes. A world that has lost its soul and is crying out for mercy.
