Jumping off from an article by Wade Davis (“The Unravelling of America” article in Rolling Stone, August 6, 2020; https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/political-commentary/covid-19-end-of-american-era-wade-davis-1038206/) in which he states that “fluidity of memory and a capacity to forget is perhaps the most haunting trait of our species”, this collection of poems explores a range of ideas about memory and its many facets.The poems include the abstract and philosophical; a reference to a late 1980s to early 1990s TV series; metaphor; symbolism; discussion of the impact of memory on truth and veracity of evidence; as well personal experience.
