About the Author

Robin Sneed Barnes was born in Scotland Neck, North Carolina and attended school in Halifax County. She is the mother of three, Amber(deceased), Jessica and Nicholas and grandmother of one, Chloe. Due to her sister's untimely death, she helped raise her two nephews, Aaron and Aaric and niece, Raven.
Throughout her life, she has been a listening ear to so many and tries to use her own life experiences to give others hope that even when life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade. Although life has been bittersweet at times, it has given Robin the strength to keep moving.
A survivor of domestic violence, rape, bullying, fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety, she felt a need to share her story with the world. Throughout her life, she has enjoyed reading, writing in her journal and poetry so when she sat down to write this book, the words flowed from her heart.
She gives God the glory for all the strength that it took to share her experiences with the world and hopes to use this book to encourage others to never give up but to keep pushing even when life knocks them down...get back up and start over again.

From the Back Cover

"I feel like I'm stuck in a hole, lifeless, no happiness, no joy, no sorrow, no peace. A world of nothingness, numb, alone, no expression, no purpose. My mind is blank, no focus, no concentration, just routine, going through the motions of life without being a part."
