About the Authors

Emma Carlson Berne has written and edited more than two dozen books for young people. She holds a master's degree in composition and rhetoric from Miami University. Emma lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband and two sons. Visit her online at emmacarlsonberne.com.

Sareki López is a Tlaxcalan and Mexican artist whose passion for drawing was born at a young age. Drawing evolved from a hobby to her passion and then obsession. Her unique art style is marked by fantasy and the Japanese manga style, creating an amalgamation with Mexican culture. This has led her to represent Mexico at various international events, including the Angouleme Festival in France, considered the world's most important festival of sequential art.
