Adam Michael Birkholz (1746-1818) was an alchemical author who wrote under a multiplicity of pseudonyms, his best known being 'Adamah Booz.' These two short pieces, 'A Philosophical Riddle' and 'A conversation, between Mercury, an Alchemist and Nature' were contained in 'Die ganze höhere Chemie und Naturwissenschaft', 1787.
The conversation or dialogue is satirical and rather amusing in places.
