About the Authors

Pop culture writer and children’s author Bobbi JG Weiss (1960-present), born in San Diego, has written hundreds of books and comics featuring Disney, Warner Bros., and DreamWorks properties.

Scott Saavedra has spent decades as a comics writer/artist for SLG Publishing―starting with his own Dr. Radium (1986)―as well as several years as a Disney comics writer for Disney Publishing Worldwide.

Cosme Quartieri is an Argentine cartoonist and colorist who created Disney comics and contributed to Disney Adventures magazine throughout the 1990s.

Francisco “Paco” Rodriguez Peinado, born in Barcelona, became a Disney comics artist in 1989. Starting as a staffer with Spain’s Comicup Studios, Rodriguez became a star artist with Denmark-based Egmont. His modernist style―at once bouncy, detailed and streamlined―has imbued decades of fan-favorite Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck adventures.

David Gerstein is an animation and comics researcher, writer, and editor best known for his work with The Walt Disney Company and its licensees. His published projects include Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck: The Don Rosa Library (Fantagraphics, 2014-2018) and Mickey Mouse: The Ultimate History (with J.B. Kaufman; Taschen, 2018). He lives in North Carolina.
