Synopsis

Reason and Rhyme is a collection of both poetry and devotional thoughts. The greatest majority of the poems were written during sermon preparation. Therefore, the poems are over various subjects. From Bible stories put to rhyme, to current events, from poems of comfort to poetic humor, these poems have had a part in a ministry of over forty years. Along with each poem is a devotional thought. Each thought is taken from a Scripture passage which accompanies the poem giving a spiritual relevance to each poem. Being a preacher myself, it is hard to write anything without seeking to have an impact on the lives of others. It is my prayer that you will be blessed as you read these pages. May you find in them both encouragement as well as courage; both lighthearted fun as well as serious thought, and most of all find a message of hope as we consider the truths of God together.
